PAID ADVERTISEMENT ATTENTION HAMPTON TOWNSHIP VOTERS In response to the recent mailer sent out by the Republican Committee about the Hampton Council race, Voices for Hampton would like to set the record straight. 1. In 2018, with a bipartisan vote, Council increased your municipal taxes by $42 per $100,000 of assessed home value-a one-time increase of 1.6% that was allocated to the road program. That same year, the Republican-led School Board increased taxes by $43 per $100,000 of assessed value. Regardless, Hampton has one of the LOWEST municipal tax rates in Allegheny County (115" lowest of 130 municipalities), and Hampton's school taxes are among the county's lowest third. 2. Your Democratic-led Council unanimously opposed joining the Allegheny County Police Review Board and have supported every initiative and budget request the Police Department has brought before Council, including embedding social workers in our Police Department to help residents in crisis. 3. The Voices for Hampton candidates have never supported banning fossil fuel use in new housing developments. 4. As current local Councilmembers and the Vice Chair of our local Zoning Hearing Board, our candidates adamantly oppose federal control of local zoning. 5. We DO support investing in our infrastructure. We campaigned on this in 2017, and have delivered on our promises in a fiscally responsible manner. Hampton residents want roads we can drive on, safe walkways for pedestrians, a pool safe for swimming, a community center that our neighbors can enjoy, and a sewer plant that can accept your waste when you flush your toilets. Does the Republican Committee not have anything better to offer our Township than overused cliches about Democrats? You can't spell community without "unity." On November 2, vote for Bethany Blackbun, Julie Fritsch, and Carolynn John- son-the only slate of candidates with years of demonstrable commitment to all of the residents of Hampton Township. Connecting our Neighbors. Investing in our Community. Planning for our Future. www.VoicesForHampton.com Facebook:@VoicesForHampton | Twitter:@Voices4Hampton PAID FOR BY VOICES FOR HAMPTON SOURCE https/hampeon-pa.org/162Council PAID ADVERTISEMENT ATTENTION HAMPTON TOWNSHIP VOTERS In response to the recent mailer sent out by the Republican Committee about the Hampton Council race, Voices for Hampton would like to set the record straight. 1.
