Ever since I was a child, I have treasured going to small towns and looking around the unique boutiques. My Mom and Dad would bring us to Downtown Irwin to shop, and have lunch. I love to give gifts and make someone's day extra special. I love to create art, and I'm inspired by other artists. My Grandpap was a painter, and we grew up watching him paint beautiful landscapes. He would often give his paintings away to family and friends. I have been a member of the Norwin Art League since 1997. My kids also enjoy art. They like to draw, paint and create. When I saw the For Lease sign on 4th Street-I was at a crossroads in my life. I had to reinvent myself... I decided to create Feathers Artist Market, with the things I love in mind. As the proud owner of Feathers Artist Market and Gifts for over 5 years, I would like to say thank you to all of you for supporting me. Thank you for believing in me and shopping small. I love being part of such a wonderful community. When I sat down 7 years ago to sign the rental agreement on 102 4th Street, I took a chance and followed my dream. OPEN EATHERS CELEBRATING 7 YEARS! If you take a few steps past the gift shop, you'll find our art gallery, where each month we feature a new local artist. From paintings to sculptures, you will always find art adorning the walls of our gallery. Here is where I teach painting classes and offer local vendors or makers a place where they can sell their merchandise. I help local non-profits and pet shelters too. As an artist myself, I knew that this opportunity I was given also came with the privilege of helping others achieve their dream. I'm incredibly honored to be able to give back to the community and give others an opportunity to display their artwork. I made it my mission throughout my years at Feathers to make sure that it was a place that could be seen by the community as not just a gift shop, but a place where others could find their start and passions as well.
