About
The Ohio Valley Hospital School of Nursing was founded in 1901 as a 3 year diploma-nursing program. With our first student graduate in 1904, we established a long-standing tradition of excellence amongst our student nurses.
We proudly claim a reputation for providing a high-quality nursing education, one which prepares graduates to enter the practice of nursing. Graduates of our school maintain a high degree of success on the PA State Board of Nursing licensing exam, NCLEX-RN, as evidenced by a consistently high first-time pass rate for graduates.
Graduates are eligible to take the same Registered Nursing Licensing exam (NCLEX-RN) required of graduates from Associate Degree (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) programs, which allow entry into the nursing practice.
