About

Hello! I’m Amy Roadman, a PreK-12 Certified Art Teacher with 20+ years of experience and the owner of Igniting Creativity LLC. I believe art and creativity can be taught, that you don’t have to start with innate talent, but a desire to create and practice. By providing opportunities that really focus on the overall experience I have learned how to ease the pressure of creating and allow many people to tap into their creative side and find that it can be really rewarding to do so. Having worked with students and teachers in and out of the art classroom, I have helped others recognize how they can be creative in ways beyond art projects. My career is based on teaching art in-person and virtually, helping virtual teachers build their creative toolbox, and providing creative opportunities to those that want to work with their hands. I also work for my state’s artist-in-residence program, visiting classrooms and community organizations in which teachers of all subjects invite me to incorporate creativity into their curriculum. Pottery skills take time to develop. I can help! The POTTERY STUDIO is finally here! With one-on-one guidance or small group instruction and support, you’ve found a safe place to dig deep and nurture your inner creativity. I’m a teacher bringing creative experiences to the rural life of the beautiful Laurel Highlands where the stress of your everyday grind is erased by the peaceful drive to the studio before you even get your hands dirty. We are located just 12-15 minutes from Latrobe, Ligonier, and Donegal, PA. Aren’t local? That’s okay! I regularly teach virtual classes as well. VIRTUAL CONSULTATIONS ARE NOW AVAILABLE
