Please join us for the inaugural Musicians of Steel 5K Run/Walk, a charity race organized by the Musicians of the Pittsburgh Symphony! Proceeds go to the PSO Musicians Care Fund, an endowment established by Musicians of the PSO and administered by the Pittsburgh Foundation. The fund benefits local area schools and community music programs in need, helping to provide musical instruments, repairs, and transportation to PSO educational performances. Learn more about the Musicians Care Fund at https://pittsburghfoundation.org/pso. The race begins at the Millvale Riverfront Pavilion and follows a flat out-and-back course along Pittsburgh’s beautiful North Shore Heritage Trail. You’ll be serenaded with live music from PSO musicians and other local artists along the course. All participants will receive a short-sleeve technical T-shirt* and special souvenir timing chip, as well as water and snacks at the finish line. This event is sanctioned and course-certified by USA Track and Field. Chip timing is provided by Runner’s High. Special bonus: join us for a spectacular pre-race concert by Orchestre de Nile beginning at 9AM! Meet and mingle with Musicians of the Pittsburgh Symphony, and join our amazing community of music lovers. See you there! Don’t want to run or walk? Become a race sponsor or volunteer!
