With the support of her loving family, husband Nick. sons Luke (18) and Ben (16), and their golden retriever, Stan, Jen Evashavik is running for the open seat of Magisterial District Judge.
Jen has lived and worked in the district for over 20 years and has advocated for improvements in the community and accessibility for residents living with special needs. She is dedicated to her community, serving as an Allegheny County District Attorney for 13 years where she witnessed firsthand what happens to children and their families while in front of a judge.
She is the mother of a disabled son, Luke. His life journey inspired her to create a fundraiser, successfully raising $120,000 to provide therapeutic horseback riding to people with special needs like Luke.
Jen’s work with the special needs community is close to her heart. She sits on the Board of Open Up Pgh, has done several speaking engagements for The Autism Connection of PA in front of an audience of first responders, Individuals living with autism and their parents, therapists and teachers. She is also a Temple Grandin Award winner for her work with the autistic community and continues with her pro bono legal work.
