he Holiday Park United Methodist Church Pre-School has over fifty years of experience providing age appropriate learning activities and experiences to children ages two through four. We align our curriculum with the Plum Borough School District to ensure children are fully prepared to enter public school. In addition, our Pre-School schedules services such as hearing, speech and vision screenings as well as class pictures. It is important to make hands-on learning exciting. During the school year we are visited by representatives of the Holiday Parkl Volunteer Fire Department, the Plum Library, Golden Mile Dental and other Plum Borough businesses. All ages enjoy a Fall field trip to Kerber’s Dairy and the four year olds take walking field trips to Shop-N-Save and S&T Bank for a behind the scenes tour. The Pre-School enjoys celebrating Christian holidays and learning about God’s love. With a non-denominational approach, stories are read and we talk about Jesus’ birth. We also share God’s ultimate expression of love for us at Easter in age appropriate ways. Families of HPUMC Pre-School children are invited to attend our church activities throughout the year.
Parties during the school year include a Halloween Parade, A Christmas Celebration, a Valentine’s Party, Donuts with Dad and a Mother’s Day Luncheon. Parent participation is encouraged for all of these parties as well as any other special event throughout the school year.
