The mathematician said "2." The journalist said "11." The accountant leaned across the desk and whispered, "What do you want it to be?" HILLS Fortunately, in looking over the financial position of the Municipality of Penn Hills, there is no question - the Municipality is in great shape! We recently had the first of several budget hearings and I am happy to report that there is no tax increase and no cuts in service! At the same time, we are putting more police officers on the streets and we have increased our fund balance. The fund balance is our "savings" and we are currently on track to have a fund balance of $10 million. In turn Standard & Poor's has revised our outlook. We have an A+ rating, and S&P has stated "Penn Hills [position] is very strong in our view." This is very, very good news. You don't have to be a mathematician to calculate this great news.
